.During an experimental period in 2002 Slone embarked on painting a canvas in the style of Pablo Picasso. After months of reading and research Slone painted a rendition of Picasso's 'Dream', using many of the same techniques as the late painter.
"Without any formal art education, one of my practices to develop my ability has been to study and reproduce the great painters of the past." Slone said. "Picasso's style is bold, I like his use of colors and often his choice of subject."

Slone's "Homage to Picasso" is splendid. The colors vibrant and bold. A reclining female is apparently asleep, dreaming with her breast partcially exposed and her hands placed in a seductive pose, the subject of her dream is thought to be erotic. Picasso's dream is one of his most popular peices and this Slone original, done as Homage to Picasso, is important to any Slone collector.
