The original oil painting was commissioned by the International Boxing Hall of Fame, in Canastota, NY. This painting was featured on the cover of the official program booklet. Slone was named the Official artist of the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997, and has since painted every years inductees since. Pictured on this historical cover are boxing legends Carlos Palomino, Azumah Nelson, Daniel Zaragoza, Dwight Muhammad Qawi, J Russell Peltz, W.C Heinz and Stanley Cristodoulou.
