The original painting was commissioned by the International Boxing Hall of Fame, in Canastota, NY. This painting was featured on the cover of the official program booklet. Slone was named the Official artist of the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997, and has since painted every years inductees since. Pictured on this historical painting are boxing legends (from top left) Ismael Laguna, Laszlo Papp, Ultiminio “Sugar” Ramos, bottom (l-r) Cutman Ralph Citro, writer Bill Gallo, Promoter Don Chargin and fight trainer George Benton.
