The original drawing was commissioned by the International Boxing Hall of Fame, in Canastota, NY. It was Slone's first ever official artwork for the Hall of Fame and was used throughout their 1997 Induction weekend. It was featured on the cover of the official program booklet. Slone was named the Official artist of the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1997, and has since painted every years inductees since. Pictured on the great drawing are Sugar Ray Leonard(top left), Promoter Don King (pictured bottom left) and former light heavyweight champion Jose Torres (right).
